Rose served during a few years as Managing Editor and Content Strategist for the media holdings of world-famous dog-behaviorist, Cesar Millan, best known for the National Geographic television series, The Dog Whisperer. In addition, Rose developed her storytelling, content creation, and marketing skills at media corporations like Globo, FOX Latin America, Marketwire, CNN en Español, and VIX.
Rose Lugo’s impressive career in media has taken her from Brazil, to Los Angeles, and now Miami, where she enjoys the multicultural vibe and all year long sunny weather. Rose is herself fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism at renowned UFRN in Brazil; conducted graduate studies in television and film at California State University of Los Angeles; and holds a doctoral degree in education, with specialization in media literacy, from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.
Rose has a passion for media education and dedicates her scholarship to the empowerment of media consumers. When she is not busy with media, Rose enjoys spending time with husband Tony and their beloved pack—Minimmas, Maximmus II, and Mel.
